Tour Booking Guide
Getting into Bhutan and travelling around the country can be a bit of a challenge if you do not know the local norms and regulations. The process of booking a trip to Bhutan is actually a simple one. Once you have chosen us to organize your trip, you can choose a perfect itinerary from the huge array of activities we provide for you.
You can either choose our itinerary or request to customize it your way. Once everything is finalized, we shall send you a quotation. Now you need to wire the tour payment calculated by a tour operator as well as USD 40 (one time visa fee) to the Bhutan National Bank through one of their certified international partners with the Bhutanese tour operator specified as the ultimate beneficiary. Please email the bank wire receipt copy to the local Bhutanese tour operator.
We shall then complete your visa application but you must send them a clear, scanned copy of your passport. Visa will normally be processed within a maximum of one week’s time. You will receive a copy of the approval of your visa once your visa application has been approved.
When to visit
Although monsoon which is around June and July is not recommended for travelling by most travellers, it can actually be a great time to see the greenery around Bhutan’s wildernesses. Since this is also the basic summer season, it offers vibrant green foresting and flourishing paddy fields against a backdrop of clear blue sky after the rain.
To avoid the crowd and catch the famous Black-Necked Cranes, winter would be the time to visit. To catch Himalayan blue sky without paying the additional tariff, consider visiting Bhutan in December. The temperature will not be too cold yet as lowest temperature usually takes places near the end of January.
Spring is the favourite time to visit Bhutan. Nature lovers who are keen on local flora should consider visiting Bhutan end of April or in May. Flowers would be on full bloom then. Fall is another high and crowded season for Bhutan. Though Bhutan does not offer browning forest or maples, the mild weather in autumn makes it a perfect time to visit Bhutan. Thimphu Festival usually takes places at the end of September or early October
